past Graduate Students

Breagh Newcombe | BA (Hon) St. Francis Xavier University| MSc (Clinical Psychology) Acadia University | PhD (Clinical Psychology) UNB 2023

While at UNB, I researched mental health interventions, with a specific interest in the prevention of various mental illnesses. For my Advanced Research Apprenticeship, I examined the efficacy of a CBT plus exercise intervention in decreasing levels of anxiety, depression, and stress in undergraduate students. For my dissertation, I tested the efficacy of a brief CBT intervention aimed at reducing anxiety sensitivity and the risk of PTSD among first responders. I completed my internship at the London Clinical Psychology Residency Consortium and graduated in 2023.
